Steph joined in 2023, having previously worked in care and support roles in end of life settings and providing support in the home, along with working with people with learning and complex difficulties. She most enjoys the personal support she can offer to families and arranging all the small details that help comfort families in their time of need.
“I truly love being in the middle of such a loving supportive community where I have lived all my life and now with my work able to offer comfort, reassurance and support to not only member of my own large family but those families in the community that have known and trusted in me all my life. Knowing their trust in me can help ease their pain is a priceless job that I can do.”
Steph set up the letters to heaven post box outside the funeral home, where flowers are planted in remembrance. She also supports and works closely with angel baby charities who support bereaved parents and families who have lost a baby.
In her spare time, Steph gathers dresses to donate to make angel gowns and beds along with working closely with people who make knitted baby items and hearts to share between families and their loved ones.
